Metered Usage updates
📝 Note: This feature is currently in Early Availability. For details on various phases, see Product lifecycle phases.
Metered Usage is updated with the following:
- Updated Metered Usage dashboard design: The Metered Usage Dashboard is updated to make it easier to navigate and understand your usage data, easily spot subscriptions or customers that were missed in the monthly billing process due to their absence in the marketplace.
- Reprocess filtered usages: You can now directly reprocess usage records that were previously filtered out during processing because their associated subscriptions were not available in the marketplace.
This new capability eliminates the need for backend intervention or support tickets and ensures accurate and timely billing.
📝 Note: Reprocessing of usages is currently supported only for Azure Usage Billing within the marketplace. To reprocess you must first migrate the subscriptions to the Marketplace.
To migrate the subscriptions, use the migration tool at Marketplace > Settings > Migration.
Once the migration is completed, select the account from the Metered Usage page > Usage Requests section > Pending Migration tab, and click Reprocess. The pending amount is processed with the current billing.
The UI is updated as below:

The new UI displays the following:
- Request ID
- Total usage events received
- Total pending accounts - these are the accounts that have not been migrated to the marketplace.
- Total estimated cost for pending migration - this is the total amount that is not billed as the accounts have not been migrated to the marketplace.
- The accounts pending migration are displayed in the Usage Requests section > Pending Migration tab along with the product name, number of usage events unbilled for that account and the estimated cost.
